BARRY I. WEISS

Barry I. Weiss was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1951. He graduated from Sheepshead Bay High School. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1973 and from New York Law School in 1976. He was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1977. Mr. Weiss has been with the law firm of Freedman, Wagner, Tabakman & Weiss since 1977, exclusively handling Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability cases. He is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association, Rockland County Bar Association, National Organization of Social Security Representatives, and American Arbitration Association. Mr. Weiss is a Mets fan and a Jets fan. He is married and has three sons and one grandson.

MICHAEL S. WEISS

Michael S. Weiss was born and raised in Suffern, New York and is a graduate of Suffern High School, Class of 1996. He attended college at Michigan State University, graduated with the Class of 2000 and went on to attend law school at Michigan State University, graduating in 2003. He has been a member of the firm since 2003 and lives with his wife and family in New City, New York. In his spare time, Michael loves the Jets, the Mets, the Knicks, the Rangers and the Spartans. He enjoys spending time with his family and loves helping people. Michael handles all of the Social Security cases in the office as well as the majority of the Workers’ Compensation cases in Westchester County.

MARK A. TABAKMAN

Mark A. Tabakman was born and raised in Rockland County. He graduated from Clarkstown North High School in 1990 and from the University of Maryland in 1994 with a BA in American Studies. Mark has been licensed to represent injured workers by the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board since 2001. He is the son of Alan Tabakman, who is an original member of the firm and worked for Freedman, Wagner, Tabakman & Weiss from 1972 to 2011. Mark is an avid sports fan and is a player/manager on the firm’s softball team. He also enjoys playing basketball and golf and spending time with his wife and two children.

DAVID MacRAE WAGNER (1936-2020)

David MacRae Wagner is a lifetime Rockland County resident, born in Pearl River, New York in 1936. He graduated from Nyack High School in 1954 and from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1963. He graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1964. He was admitted to practice law in the State of New York and Federal Courts in 1965. He was a founding partner in the law firm of Freedman & Wagner in 1973, which partnership was later expanded to Freedman, Wagner, Tabakman & Weiss. Mr. Wagner successfully argued before the Supreme Court of the United States on behalf of his partner, Alan Tabakman, in the landmark case of Branti v. Finkel, 1982. Mr. Wagner has also served as a Rockland County Legislator, a Deputy Town Attorney and Legislative Counsel to the Rockland County Legislature. Mr. Wagner is married with five children and six grandchildren. His daughter, Amy Mele, is the Town Attorney of the Town of Clarkstown and is of counsel to this firm.
